DESCRIPTION:“Empowering Leadership: Breaking Barriers\, Building Communities.”  \nThe Andrea L Harris Foundation is excited to share details of our Inaugural Andrea L. Harris Speaker’s Series featuring three extraordinary Black female mayors and North Carolina’s first Black female U.S. Congresswoman\, the Honorable Eva Clayton. \nThe speaker series will focus on promoting and supporting strong and influential leadership among Black females. It also provides an opportunity to highlight the importance of breaking down barriers and overcoming challenges faced by Black women in leadership positions. The theme also emphasizes the roles of these leaders in building and strengthening communities\, addressing social issues\, and creating positive change. We salute and empower these women and others to lead with confidence\, resilience\, and a commitment to making a difference in their cities and beyond. \nThe event is scheduled for Saturday\, September 21\, 2024\, in Henderson\, NC.
